Question by : Severe anxiety disorders meds not operating?
Im 17 and i have gad, ocd, social anxiousness disorder, and moderate add. Ive been on paxil 10 mg for like three weeks and it has not done something. What do i do

Stop taking the medication, but only right after your medical doctor provides you the okay.
Sounds like a bunch of non-illnesses I utilized to have. Quit wasting your funds kid and get a hold of your self. Medication is not going to support you with any of that.

That’s not a very high dose your on. I would think at least 20mg under doctor supervision and 4-6 weeks at that dose before I would give up. Maybe the doctor is planning on upping you gradually so you don’t feel sick from the dose. Talk to the doctor and see what he says. Hope you feel better.

Yea just listen to Chim and magically wish all your problems away. Upping the medication may help also combining therapy with your medication may give you better results. Try to stay with it and stay positive. Good luck

Yeah, it takes up to 4 – 6 weeks to kick in. And it’s not a cure-all. You’ll still have OCD, GAD, and social anxiety disorder.
